ART Matters!
When I was in school, ART was an elective. You might even remember the old saying, "She majored in underwater basket weaving". That saying referred to the opinion that learning art was a waste of time. ART was always my first love... these overstated memes-before memes were cool...broke my heart.
People are beginning to understand the value of ART! FINALLY!
We know that: Art can influence behaviors
Branding- a mix of writing and design can make or break a business, a community, a team, or a project.
Colors- can make people hungry-or eat fast and leave or alter a mood
Community-many communities have been enhanced with mural projects, art walks, and other art installations that bond the community and invite visitors to come and remember a town, it can put a place on the map.
Packaging-a product of Art can: call attention and make a product successful.
ART- it isn't rocket science, but Art has an important place in the world. Since embracing my right side of the brain I've opened a different world. I love my gifted, crazy, artsy friends. I love my work and am happily taking courses- not one is underwater, and I'm still looking for the weaving class.
