Online Study Resources
Many designers began with a love for art, they put in time and sweat developing
skills and a unique style. Don't be surprised to discover your favorite prominent
designer had a higher education program outside of traditional academia.
Online programs are now a popular method of learning. Combine them with
accountability groups, and programs from some of the most talented artists of the times,
you can learn fundamental design skills that include typography, layout, program mastery
(Adobe, Procreate, Canva and other creative editing software). There is business
development and best practices in abundance. Nowadays, there's no reason to not be
learning or improving.

Learning is a full time- life time job, with an incredible payoff. This might not be what you wanted to hear, but consider this; a mindset to always be learning finds lessons in places untaught in formal education. You can learn from people without teaching degrees, you can learn from observing success and failures (you might be surprised to learn that they are not so clearly defined as you might have believed). Open your mind and keep it tuned to a higher degree...

Once you get the bug you might find your budget doesn't quite support your excitement. YET!! Before draining the the bank accounts, look for ways to save. I rediscovered the local library during the pandemic. I was blowing through books at an alarming rate and then I discovered two ways to save on audio books. First- do a search on YouTube, I have been surprised at what authors have shared (sometimes it is a limited opportunity so grab it when you find it. ) I listened several times to Seth Godin's Lynchpin before he took it down.
The other way is to dig up, or get a new LIBRARY CARD! Then install the Libby App on your electronic devices. Not everything is there, and sometimes you have to wait a bit, but there are some very popular selections to check out and listen to while you are on the go. Open your mind and keep it tuned to a higher degree...
